Our Stage 3 47RE Transmission build Is designed for trucks around 1000 RWHP. This unit is full billet shafts which supports a monster street truck. The valvebody is more aggressive but is still daily driver friendly.
The Dodge 47RE transmission is a four-speed automatic transmission that was implemented in 1994-2002 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks. The 47RE is an update of Chrysler's A727 design. The 47RE features an overdrive and steel gears in place of aluminum used in the A727 transmission. The 47RE is an electronically controlled transmission unlike the 47RH which uses a hydraulic and mechanical governor pressure control. The stock 47RE transmission unit came with a 450 lb-ft. torque rating and was later replaced by the stronger 48RE with a torque rating up to 570 lb-ft. Benton's Diesel & Transmission offers 5 upgraded fully built 47RE transmission solutions to meet the demands and applications of our customers. We build 47RE transmissions with towing upgrades all the way to 1000+ horsepower units for racing.
