Transmission Warranty

47RE, 48RE, 68RFE Transmission Terms

Benton’s Diesel and Transmission units includes a non-transferable, two-year unlimited mileage warranty on all workmanship from the date of invoice. For transmissions installed by us, the warranty work and labor shall be covered only at our facility. For transmissions not installed by Benton’s diesel, we will cover up to $500.00 for the labor to remove and reinstall the unit as well as commercial shipping which will be arranged and setup by us within the continental United States for one year from invoice date. This warranty does not cover hard parts, such as shafts, cases, one-way roller clutches, etc. unless it is found that the failure was ultimately caused by poor workmanship. This warranty will be voided if the transmission has been tampered with, is abused or neglected as a result of neutral drops, powerbraking, first or second gear lockups, installation errors, water damage, overheating or damage caused by loss of fluid due to external leaks. There is no warranty implied on transmissions that do not have pressures checked, or coolers flushed. It is highly recommended that units be installed by a professional shop.

Any transmission tuning needs to be approved by Benton’s diesel and transmission.

Warranty is not applicable to trucks with tires larger than 35" unless proof of a differential gear change is provided this applies to 68rfe equipped trucks.

Fluid change is required within the first 2,500 miles, and bands MUST be adjusted on 47/48re equipped trucks. Fluids after that are recommended servicing every 15,000 miles.

68RFE Equipped trucks need the fluid changed after 2,500 miles. Fluids after that are recommended servicing every 15,000 miles.

Our standard refresh fee after warranty is expired is $1400 + Install labor and that includes clutches and new seals, does not include converter or any hard part issues.
